This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about teaching children vital life skills and water safety across different age groups, classes, and levels.
Shifts Available
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 3:00pm – 7:00pm (Afternoon shifts)
Required Qualifications:
- Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate (AUSTSWIM TSW, Swim Australia SAT, or equivalent) – Required as we primarily teach primary school aged children during our afternoon shifts.
- Teacher of Infants and Toddlers Certificate (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or equivalent) Not mandatory, but highly regarded if you already hold this or are currently working towards it!
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Current and valid).
- First Aid & CPR Certificates (Current).
Get Certified & Launched Into a Career! (Logbook Hours)
- We Support New Teachers: If you are currently completing an external swim teaching course and need practical shadow hours for your logbook, we love giving back to the industry and happily can host trainees. Please note that placements are subject to availability based on our current scheduling and team capacity.
- Unpaid Training: Please note these shadow hours are strictly voluntary and unpaid at our centre, as we provide our own pool resources and time during our regular lessons to support your learning.
- Future Employment: We view our trainees as the future of our team. Upon successful completion of your logbook hours, you will be considered for a paid casual role based on business needs and performance.
