Position Overview
Due to continued business growth and increasing project activity, Marlet International Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s administrative operations.
The Office Manager will play a critical role in supporting management, project delivery teams and operational personnel by ensuring the efficient day-to-day functioning of office systems, compliance processes and administrative operations. This role requires strong organisational capabilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction and flooring environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day office operations and administrative functions to ensure the efficient and effective running of the business.
2. Develop, implement and maintain office procedures, systems and workflows to improve operational efficiency and support business growth.
3. Provide administrative support to directors and management, including scheduling, reporting, correspondence and business documentation.
4. Coordinate communication and information flow between project managers, installation teams, suppliers, contractors and external service providers to support efficient project delivery.
5. Maintain company records, contracts, licences, compliance documentation, employee records and contractor documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
6. Coordinate recruitment administration, onboarding activities, employee record management and implementation of workplace policies and procedures.
7. Monitor project expenditure, supplier invoices, bulk material purchase orders (including commercial flooring and industrial architectural profiles), and procurement activities to support efficient business operations.)
8. Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders regarding administrative, operational and compliance matters.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate company meetings and training activities, and contribute to the ongoing development of efficient office systems and business processes.
Skills and Qualifications
- With relevant field of study at Diploma level or minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Office Manager, Administration Manager or similar senior administrative role. Experience within construction, building materials or related industries will be given priority.
- Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
