The Role
We are seeking part-time, term-time High School Teacher Aides (Student Support) to join our dedicated team, commencing Term 3, 2026. In this role, you will:
- Support high school teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Provide individual or small group assistance to students to enhance learning outcomes.
- Foster a calm, supportive, and positive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching and learning support teams to assist student development and wellbeing.
- Participate in whole-school activities, events, and festivals that reflect our Steiner ethos.
Hours of work are generally 8:00am – 2:45pm, with flexibility depending on candidate availability and timetable requirements.
What You Bring
- Previous experience as a Teacher Aide or in a similar student support role, preferably providing literacy and numeracy support.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with teachers, students, and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a calm, nurturing approach to supporting young people.
- Flexibility and initiative in adapting to individual learning needs.
- An understanding of, or interest in, Steiner education.
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- A Certificate III or IV in Education Support, or an equivalent qualification, and current First Aid certification are desirable.
