In this role, you'll:
Working as part of the Sydney Trains Rollingstock Future Fleet Project this role will see you lead the effective development, implementation and delivery of a comprehensive rollingstock fleet maintenance concept of operations and asset strategy. This role drives alignment across the required service delivery, regulatory requirements, commercial and enterprise objectives and optimises whole of life asset benefit realisation.
We are seeking a strategic thinker who has a broad picture of asset and maintenance managemet and who can work collaboratively with various parties, internal and external, to get the best outcome for the Program and long term maintenance of assets.
This is a permenent role working as part of a broad team with individual hybrid arrangement to support flexible working.

About you
You are a tertiary qualified professional looking to be a part of a positive change for the future. You’ll be passionate about playing a pivotal role in ensuring Sydney Trains is ready to operate the next generation rail fleet!
You are a self-starter, a people person, and experienced in managing a diverse stakeholder group with an ability to develop and implement strategies that inform the design, manufacture, procurement, maintenance and operations for new rolling stock or other assets in a highly reliability organisation.
Previous project management experience in rolling stock delivery is highly desirable as is an awareness of train maintenance and broad exposure to Asset Management.
You are able to identify problems that need to be solved and work collaboratively with stakeholders to find effective outcome based solutions. You will have the ability to negotiate, influence and prioritise competing interests to achieve outcomes that are best for Transport. You will also possess demonstrated skills in major project governance and processes such as risk management, overseeing change, managing cost and time and accurate reporting.
You also understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
