Job Overview
The role is primarily focused on general labouring duties within the prefabrication warehouse, including forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, material handling, and assisting the prefab team with daily production requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operating a forklift safely and in accordance with company procedures and licence requirements.
- Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assisting with the movement, storage, and organisation of materials and finished products within the warehouse.
- Assisting the prefab team with the assembly, preparation, and handling of reinforcement cages and components.
- Using hand and power tools, once trained and competent to do so.
- Making sure that all tools and equipment are visually inspected prior to use.
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
- Keeping PPE in good working condition, including all clothing and boots.
- Attending all workplace meetings and daily pre-starts on time and following any instructions communicated through those meetings.
- Assisting with general labouring and housekeeping duties as directed by Supervisors and Leading Hands.
- Adherence to all workplace and legislative requirements for safety and the environment, as well as all CSF policies.
- Reporting all accidents and near misses to the Supervisor as soon as safely practicable.
Qualifications
- White Card.
- Relevant warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or labouring experience.
- Own transport and driver's licence.
- LF High Risk Work Licence.
- Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment.
- Ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding tasks.
