About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Network Security Engineer to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will support the delivery of critical network security projects across our APAC footprint, helping strengthen Icon Group's secure networking environment. Working closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Architecture and external vendors, you will contribute to initiatives including network segmentation, firewall modernisation and Zero Trust-aligned security architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Network Security & Project Delivery
- Support the delivery of enterprise network segmentation projects.
- Implement secure network zones across corporate and clinical environments.
- Lead or assist with firewall and firmware upgrades.
- Configure, review and document firewall policies in line with secure design standards.
- Contribute to secure network designs including VPNs, VLANs, NAC and Zero Trust principles.
- Support the integration of security technologies such as Cisco Secure Connect, Meraki Access Manager and Panorama.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security and Architecture teams to align network initiatives with broader security objectives.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain network infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance and security.
- Respond to incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
- Support security audits, assessments and remediation activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve network performance, resilience and security.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and technology partners.
- Work collaboratively with vendors and service providers.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior network engineering role within security-focused environments. Palo Alto, Cisco and Meraki certifications desirable.
- Strong experience with:
- Cisco Meraki (switching, SD-WAN, wireless and video surveillance)
- Palo Alto firewalls and Site-to-Site VPN technologies
- Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching platforms
- Cisco Secure Connect
- DNS and DHCP services
- Sound understanding of:
- Network segmentation
- Zero Trust architectures
- VLANs and Network Access Control (NAC)
- Firewall governance and rule review processes
- Experience partnering with cyber security teams to deliver secure network solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and network design capability.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development.
