In this senior academic role, you will lead Melbourne Online’s student experience strategy and teaching quality. You will influence faculties across the University, resolving complex curriculum challenges and guiding scalable online delivery. You will gain high-profile leadership exposure, positioning yourself strongly for future promotion and sector impact.
What you will deliver:
Lead the evolution of Melbourne Online’s student and teacher experience strategy, informed by research, analytics and evolving best practice.
Build influential relationships with Faculties, Schools and central academic governance to deepen confidence and delivery partnering.
Act as senior escalation point for complex curriculum and delivery issues, coaching academic and design colleagues.
Oversee academic quality frameworks, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulation while driving innovation in pedagogy.
Contribute as part of Melbourne Online’s leadership team, shaping strategy, culture and business performance across the portfolio.
You may be a great fit if you:
Hold a PhD in education, learning design, teaching and learning, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrate exceptional academic performance and credibility consistent with appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level.
Excel at building trusting relationships and facilitating agreement among diverse senior academic and professional stakeholders.
Bring substantial experience in higher education curriculum and student experience design, including complex, multi-faculty programs.
Translate strategic intent into practical, scalable learning designs for postgraduate students, informed by data and learner analytics.
Champion student success and lifelong learning, bringing or developing thought leadership in online and blended education.
