Senior Trade Marks Attorney / Lawyer - Sydney

As our firm continues to grow, we have an opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded senior trade marks practitioner to join our Trade Marks team in Sydney. We accept applications from Brisbane and Melbourne.
About the Role
This is a genuine senior-level opportunity to take on meaningful client responsibility with a leading intellectual property firm. You will work with a highly regarded team, supporting local and international clients across a broad range of complex trade mark matters.
As a senior member of the team, your role would include:
- building trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and overseas associates
- contributing to client relationship development, mentoring and the continued growth of the practice
- managing and advising on local and international trade mark portfolios across a range of industries
- overseeing the preparation, filing and prosecution of trade mark applications
- providing strategic advice on trade mark clearance, protection, enforcement and risk management
- providing strategic brand protection advice to clients across sectors such as consumer goods, retail, technology and emerging industries
About You
You are a qualified trade marks attorney or lawyer with strong, recent experience in private practice or a comparable in-house environment, and you are ready to contribute at a senior level.
You will bring:
- strong experience across trade mark prosecution, portfolio management, advisory work, dispute resolution and client strategy
- exposure to a range of industries or brand-led sectors
- sound commercial judgement and the confidence to provide clear, pragmatic advice to clients
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- a high level of attention to detail and organisational capability
- the ability to work independently, supervise matters and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment
- a proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
