Senior Dental Assistant

Pay: $40.00 – $46.00 per hour, based on experience
About the Role
Royal Dental Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Dental Assistant to join our teams across our Bella Vista and Parramatta practices.
We are looking for someone who is confident, highly organised and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. You will work in a professional, supportive and fast-paced clinical environment with exposure to a broad range of general, orthodontic, implant and surgical procedures.
The position will involve approximately 80% clinical assisting and 20% reception/front desk duties, making it ideal for an experienced Dental Assistant who is comfortable supporting both clinical and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting across a range of procedures, including:
- General dentistry
- Orthodontics
- Implant dentistry
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms
- Maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation
- Supporting patient management and efficient clinical workflow
- Assisting with reception and administrative duties when required
- Providing exceptional customer service and patient care
- Working collaboratively with dentists, clinicians, Dental Assistants and front desk teams
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable and team-focused attitude
- Full Australian working rights
Highly Regarded
- Experience using Core Practice
- Orthodontic assisting experience
- Implant and surgical assisting experience
- Previous experience supporting reception/front desk operations
