This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity
As a Specialist Rehabilitation Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting people living with chronic and complex mental health conditions to achieve their personal recovery goals and improve their quality of life. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist rehabilitation assessment, intervention, and consultation services that promote independence, social inclusion, and community participation.
This position is an integral part of the Specialist Rehabilitation Service (SRS), which delivers recovery-oriented, person-centred, family-inclusive, and trauma-informed care. In this role you will:

Conduct specialist rehabilitation assessments and develop comprehensive, goal-focused care plans tailored to individual recovery needs.

Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation interventions that support living skills, role development, community integration, and meaningful participation in daily life.

Provide clinical consultation and support to consumers, families, carers, and treating teams to implement rehabilitation strategies and enhance recovery outcomes.

Collaborate with community services, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders to ensure coordinated, integrated, and consumer-centred care.

Facilitate individual and group-based rehabilitation programs and contribute to service development, education, and recovery-oriented practice across the Mental Health Service.

About You
We are looking for someone who has:
-
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), as well as a current Australian Driver's Licence.

Extensive clinical experience and specialist knowledge in mental health rehabilitation, recovery-oriented practice, and psychosocial interventions.

Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive assessments and developing rehabilitation programs that support consumer goals, independence, and social inclusion.

Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and information technology skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with consumers, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Experience working collaboratively with health services, community organisations, and key stakeholders to deliver integrated care.

Excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across diverse clinical settings.

A commitment to recovery-focused, person-centred care and a passion for supporting individuals to achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
