We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to support our Maintenance Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help maintain our hotel, casino and resort facilities to the highest standard while fostering a positive team culture and delivering excellent service to our guests.

About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will assist in leading the Maintenance Department while ensuring our buildings, equipment, plant and grounds are safe, functional and maintained to a high standard. Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Maintenance Department.

Leading, mentoring and supporting the Maintenance team.

Coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance across the property.

Completing general maintenance and repairs where required.

Maintaining hotel rooms, casino, restaurants, convention centre, public areas, gardens, pool areas, car parks and external facilities.

Coordinating contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Monitoring maintenance requests and ensuring timely completion.

Assisting with maintenance planning, purchasing, stock control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Promoting Workplace Health & Safety and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Working collaboratively with all departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Undertaking additional duties as reasonably directed by the Maintenance Manager.
What You'll Bring

Ideally, you'll have:

Experience in facilities management, trades or hospitality maintenance.

Experience leading, supervising or mentoring a team.

Knowledge of preventative maintenance and general building repairs.

Experience coordinating maintenance activities with external contractors.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety and safe work practices.

Experience maintaining maintenance records.
-
A current driver's licence or the ability to obtain a Northern Territory Driver Licence.
Working Conditions
As part of our 24-hour operation, flexibility is essential. This role requires the successful applicant to:

Work a rotating roster including day, afternoon and evening shifts.

Work weekends and public holidays as required.

Participate in after-hours emergency callouts when required.

Perform both supervisory and hands-on maintenance duties.

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
