About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning and Process Improvement Engineer to provide short term technical support for our beverage bottling facility.
The successful applicant will lead the troubleshooting, optimisation and commissioning of a specialised bottled water production line supplied by our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in China. The role is focused on resolving production issues, improving reliability and efficiency, optimising machine performance, and transferring technical knowledge to our production team before the assignment concludes.
This is a temporary project based position expected to last approximately four weeks.
Production Equipment
The successful applicant will have extensive hands-on experience commissioning, troubleshooting and optimising the following equipment:
- 2 cavity automatic PET blow moulding machine
- Bottle rinsing, filling and capping monoblock
- Inline labelling machine
- Carton erecting machine
- Automatic carton packing machine
- Carton tape sealing machine
- 15L bottle filling machine
- Screw type and piston air compressors
- Industrial water chiller
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the troubleshooting and commissioning of the production line.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical and production related faults.
- Optimise machine settings to improve production efficiency, product quality and reliability.
- Minimise equipment downtime through systematic fault finding and corrective action.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes and operating procedures.
- Liaase directly with the equipment manufacturer where required to resolve technical issues.
- Train production and maintenance staff in the correct operation, adjustment and maintenance of the equipment.
- Develop practical recommendations for ongoing preventative maintenance and process improvements.
- Produce documentation outlining technical findings, adjustments and recommended improvements.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Extensive hands-on experience commissioning and troubleshooting complete PET beverage bottling production lines.
- Strong experience working with Chinese manufactured beverage production equipment.
- Proven experience installing, commissioning and debugging blow moulding, filling, labelling and end of line packaging equipment.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical fault finding skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem solving and technical communication skills.
- Experience training operators and maintenance personnel.
Highly Regarded
The following will be highly regarded:
- Previous experience commissioning equipment manufactured by our OEM.
- Experience working with the same or substantially similar equipment models installed at our facility.
- Previous experience improving production efficiency and reducing equipment downtime in beverage manufacturing environments.

Pay: $100.00 – $150.00 per hour
