About the role
The City of Salisbury is seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator Streetscapes to join our Field Services team.
Reporting to the Team Leader Streetscape, you will coordinate Council's planting programs, streetscape renewal projects, tree establishment activities and juvenile tree maintenance programs. You will lead a team of employees and contractors to deliver high quality, safe and efficient outcomes that support Council's urban forest and landscape objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines operational coordination, contractor management, customer service, workforce leadership and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinating Council's planting and streetscape renewal programs.

Planning and overseeing tree planting, tree establishment, watering and juvenile tree maintenance activities.

Coordinating internal crews and contractors to deliver programmed and reactive works.

Managing work schedules, resources, budgets and customer requests.

Providing technical advice relating to tree establishment, horticultural maintenance and urban forest outcomes.

Monitoring program delivery and reporting on performance, schedules and outcomes.

Assisting with contract development, tender processes and contract management activities.

Leading, coaching and developing staff to achieve service standards and operational objectives.

Supporting WHS compliance through toolbox meetings, audits, risk management and safe work practices.

Contributing to service improvement initiatives, operational planning and business improvements.

Acting in the Team Leader role during periods of approved absence when required.
About you:
You are an experienced parks, landscape or horticultural professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine commitment to delivering quality outcomes for the community.
You know how to coordinate teams, manage competing priorities and build positive working relationships with staff, contractors and customers. You are practical, organised and confident making operational decisions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service quality and continuous improvement.
You will also have:

Current Class C Driver's Licence.

Diploma-level qualification in a relevant field, or substantial experience in a similar role.

Certificate IV in Frontline Management.

Experience in urban forest establishment, tree asset management or horticultural services.

Experience leading and developing operational teams.

Experience coordinating contractors and managing service delivery contracts.

Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.

High-level communication skills, including report writing and presentations.

Strong computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office applications and business systems.

Experience managing budgets, schedules and operational resources.
-
Ability to interpret plans and specifications.

Detailed knowledge of AS4373-2007 Pruning of Amenity Trees and ISA planting guidelines

Knowledge of Local Government operations and services. (Desirable)

Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and Australian Standards. (Desirable)

Experience leading teams through organisational change. (Desirable)
