About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and innovative Physiotherapist to develop and lead the Physiotherapy and interdisciplinary team in the Community Rehabilitation Program - Eastern Health.
The successful candidate with professional and operational mentorship will support the growth of junior staff and continuously improve the quality of care delivered in the service.
The Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) at Eastern Health is striving to delivery great care everywhere, every time for our community. We are seeking a client-focused rehabilitation physiotherapist, who has a commitment to quality patient care and service improvement. You will provide clinical leadership and supervision for the physiotherapy team at the Peter James & Wantirna Community Rehabilitation Program, as well as support and lead quality improvement initiatives.
To support your growth and success in this role, you will work closely with the CRP Team Leaders and profession Senior Clinicians. You will have access to clinical supervision from the Grade 4 Physiotherapy Clinical Lead and will be supported to participate in professional development, quality improvement & research.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Extensive experience in the area of musculoskeletal rehabilitation
Strong commitment to high quality patient care
Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
Advanced clinical skills in managing a complex caseload using a client-centred approach
Sound clinical reasoning skills within the field of rehabilitation including supervision and development of staff
High level communication and coaching skills
Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative practice and quality improvement
Desirable:
Previous experience with Amputee clients
Previous experience in Aquatic Physiotherapy
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
