The role:
Join our growing team to lead and deliver high-quality Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)and residential. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing construction from concept to completion, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation to plan and manage construction execution.
2. Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment, allocating resources effectively across projects.
3. Lead on-site coordination, supervising construction activities and multiple trades to ensure adherence to project schedules.
4. Monitor and manage project timelines, costs, quality, and risks, implementing change orders and adjusting plans as needed.
5. Manage compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and quality standards through regular site inspections and audits.
6. Liaise with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design problems and ensure project alignment with goals.
7. Lead, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors and on-site staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to project protocols.
8. Establish and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, and manage submissions to local authorities as required.
Qualifications & experience
- Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager, successfully delivering building projects from feasibility and planning through to completion and handover.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, cost control, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, technical drawings, contracts, compliance requirements, and Australian building regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to Work Health & Safety (WHS), quality assurance, and site compliance, ensuring high standards across all project phases.
- Skilled in coordinating subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders while maintaining strong client relationships and clear communication throughout project delivery.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with people from diverse multicultural backgrounds.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement, efficiency, and achieving high-quality project outcomes.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $135,000.00 per year
