SparkleCleans is expanding its Airbnb and short-stay cleaning team across Sydney.
We are looking for experienced, reliable and detail-focused cleaners who can consistently prepare Airbnb and short-stay properties to a high guest-ready standard.
This is not just general house cleaning.
Airbnb work requires cleaners who understand turnaround times, presentation, linen changes, guest expectations and the importance of getting every property ready before check-in.
Strong performers may be offered regular recurring properties and ongoing work.
The Role
You may be responsible for:
- Full Airbnb turnover cleans
- Bathrooms and kitchens
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Dusting and surface cleaning
- Making beds and changing linen
- Resetting rooms ready for incoming guests
- Replenishing supplied amenities and consumables
- Emptying bins
- Checking the property for damage, missing items or maintenance issues
- Taking completion photos or videos when required
- Following property-specific cleaning checklists
- Reporting any problems immediately to SparkleCleans
Who We Want
We are particularly interested in cleaners with experience in:
- Airbnb / short-stay cleaning
- Hotel housekeeping
- Serviced apartments
- Holiday accommodation
- Professional residential cleaning
You should be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Fast without sacrificing quality
- Very detail-focused
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable following checklists
- Good at communicating
- Professional around client properties
- Able to meet strict completion times
Availability
Airbnb cleans commonly take place between guest check-out and check-in, so availability during the day is important.
We are especially interested in cleaners who can work:
- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Between approximately 10am–3pm when required
- On recurring scheduled properties
You do not need to be available every day, but you must be reliable for jobs you accept.
Transport & Equipment
Ideally, you will have:
- Your own reliable vehicle
- Your own basic professional cleaning equipment
- Your own cleaning supplies
If you are an excellent Airbnb or hotel cleaner but are missing some equipment, you are still encouraged to apply. We assess cleaners individually.
Contractor Requirements
This is subcontractor work.
You should have, or be willing to have:
- Professional cleaning experience
- Reliable transport
- Appropriate cleaning equipment
- Ability to invoice where required
Job details and rates will always be provided before you accept a job.
You are free to accept or decline individual jobs based on your availability.

What We Value Most
Reliability.
Airbnb cleaning is time-sensitive. Guests may be arriving only a few hours after the previous guest leaves.
Last-minute cancellations, repeated lateness or poor communication can affect the entire property operation.
We are looking for cleaners we can confidently assign to regular properties.
Pay
Pay may be structured as:
- A set rate per property, or
- An agreed hourly rate
depending on the job.
The rate will always be communicated before you accept the clean.
Higher-performing cleaners may be offered more regular work.
