ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in our production facility at Varsity Lakes, you’ll work in the cake department, producing everything from prep to finished goods for two retail stores and wholesale clients.
Tasks include:
- Preparing cream and custard as need for our shops
- Preparing and cooking large-batch of cake and custard (mudcake, lemon drizzle, caramel slices, custards) for this you will be using heavy duty commercial equipment, requiring a good amount of physical strengh
- On rare occasion you might be ask to help the savoury department to make product such as, quiches, pie and other savoury products
- Assembling and packing orders for shops and wholesale clients
- Supporting and following instructions from the Head Chef
This role involves a wide range of tasks, from small-batch artisan prep to high-volume production. Attention to detail and pride in your craft are essential.

- A strong work/life balance: 8-hour shifts starting between 6AM–8AM, finishing between 2PM–4PM mostly monday to friday but when needed it could include either Saturday or Sunday work with extra pay loading

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- you will be mainly supervise but we need someone that can work independently and confidently after the appropriate training period
- People with a genuine interest in artisan food production
- Team players who are reliable and detail-oriented
- Applicants with full work rights in Australia and at least 12 months of availability
We invest in training, and in return, we ask for a minimum 12-month commitment.
