An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Works Planning Support Officer to join Service Stream undertaking the UU MECS contract
Service Stream’s Utilities division is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Works Planning Support Officer to play a pivotal role in the planning and scheduling of maintenance works across Urban Utilities assets.
The Works Planning Support Officer provides dedicated planning and administrative support to the Integrated PMO and Works Coordination team. The role focuses on centralising permits, planning administration, work order governance, and reporting activities to improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden on Works Coordinators, and enhance delivery outcomes across the MECS contract.

Reporting Line: Lead Works Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Works Coordinator, you will take ownership of planning and scheduling workflows, ensuring maintenance activities are delivered efficiently and without disruption:
Coordinate permits, shut plans and flow control plans submission and tracking
Maintain permit registers and support reporting and improvement analysis
Support QA closeout and FCR governance activities
Maintain Work Order integrity including task completion and closure accuracy
Prepare work packs for complex and critical works
Support constraint validation with delivery teams and stakeholders
Provide reporting support including performance and compliance metrics
Assist with document control, audits, and process governance
Provide administrative support to Works Coordinators during peak periods
Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and delivery
