About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and hands-on hospitality professional to join our front-of-house team as a Trade Waiter. Full-time sponsorship is available for the right candidate who meets the skill requirements; Australian workers are preferred.
As a Trade Waiter, you will provide professional food and beverage service while ensuring our high service standards are maintained. You will work closely with management, kitchen and bar staff to provide efficient and personalised service and create a positive dining experience for our guests.
This is a full-time position that will require flexibility and weekend work, in accordance with business demands.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced cocktail bar or premium restaurant environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails, modern mixology techniques, and flavour profiles.
- Strong knowledge of Australian wine, spirits, and craft beer is highly advantageous.
- Self-motivated to manage bar prep (batching, cooking syrups) and maintain bar cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with guests sitting at the bar.
- Ability to learn detailed food menus and deliver seamless service to bar guests.
- Valid Victorian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.
Tasks and Duties
- Greet customers, present menus and provide information and recommendations on food and beverage selections.
- Take customer orders accurately and communicate orders to kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in accordance with the restaurant’s service standards.
- Set and prepare tables, including arranging tableware, glassware and other service items.
- Attend to customer requests, dietary requirements and enquiries throughout service.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and promptly address service issues or refer complaints to management.
- Process customer accounts, payments and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dining areas, service stations and restaurant facilities.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and responsible service of alcohol requirements.
- Work closely with kitchen, bar and other restaurant staff to ensure timely and coordinated service.
