An opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our wonderful team at St Paul’s Anglican Kindergarten Canterbury. At our kindergarten, we believe that children learn best through play. Play provides opportunities for the children to learn as they discover, create, improvise and imagine. Our team welcomes and supports all children and works closely in partnerships with families and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Applicants must: · Value the importance of working together as a team and value each team member · Be able to work under the direction of the Early Childhood Teachers of each group being relieved · Assist with the general cleanliness and safety · Be aware of and adhere to the Children’s Services regulations and have a strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Framework · Assist with the preparation of learning experiences and recording children’s participation under the supervision of Educators · Have excellent verbal and written communication skills · Be confident when communicating with children, parents, other educators and management · Have experience working with technology (computer and iPad) · Attend monthly staff meetings (paid) · Attend and contribute to relevant professional development programs recommended by the Educational Leader Nominated and Committee of management (paid)
· A relevant Diploma Qualification in Early Childhood Education · Current First Aid & Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates · Undergone Mandatory Child Protection and Child Safety Training
