Favourhill Care is seeking compassionate, experienced, and reliable Male and Female Disability Support Workers to support participants in Deception Bay and surrounding North Brisbane/Moreton Bay suburbs.
We are looking for support workers with experience supporting participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and challenging behaviours who are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support in the home and community
- Support participants with daily living skills and independence
- Build positive, trusting relationships
- Implement behaviour support strategies in line with Behaviour Support Plans
- Assist with community access, appointments, and recreational activities
- Complete accurate progress notes and documentation
- Promote participants' choice, dignity, and independence
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience supporting participants with ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviours
- Is calm, patient, and resilient in complex situations
- Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Can build positive, long-term relationships with participants
- Is reliable, professional, and person-centred
- Is flexible with weekday and weekend availability
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Right to work in Australia
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans (highly regarded)
