The Nurse Manager of the ISLHD Drug and Alcohol Service, provides professional and operational support to the D&A Service Director and the ISLHD Director of Nursing.
The role of the Nurse Manager is to:
Lead, direct and co-ordinate patient or client care in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Managers.- Ensure the practice of nursing and midwifery is safe and efficient, while maintaining standards of care.
- Collaborate with senior management of the Drug and Alcohol Service to plan, organise, implement and evaluate the Service for the District.
- Lead, co-ordinate and support the health care teams.
- Monitor the business and management functions and processes of the D&A Service.
- Responsible for patient safety and clinical quality, work health and safety and Infection control.
- Responsible for professional issues associated with Nursing within the D&A Service
