About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Senior Facilities Manager, theAssistant Facilities Manager provides high-quality facilities management andoperational services to a high-profile CBRE financial services client. The rolesupports business continuity and enhances the workplace experience for allusers.
The Assistant Facilities Manager supports the widerFacilities team by reducing the risk of business disruption through adherenceto agreed operating procedures and protocols, while proactively identifyingrisks and recommending solutions.
The role also provides weekend support to the wider CRE teamby managing contractors and site works, and by supporting the projectmanagement team as required. This position operates on a permanent Saturday toWednesday roster (10 hours on Saturday and Sunday, and 6.5 hours from Monday toWednesday).
What You’ll Do:
Conduct regular site inspections, identify issues proactively, and maintain facilities to a high standard.
Work closely with the Senior Facilities Manager to ensure consistent service delivery across the Sydney campus.
Maintain up-to-date property documentation and manage a library of manuals and reference materials.
Collaborate with Base Building and Engineering teams to ensure continuity of services with minimal disruption to business operations.
Carry out documented daily inspections to identify and address asset-related issues. Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Attend and manage critical incidents related to property services that may affect business operations. This may require attendance outside normal working hours when requested by the client.
Participate in emergency response and scenario training as required.
Comply with all CBRE systems, policies, and procedures relating to health and safety.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Ensure contractors perform work in accordance with agreed scopes and provide regular reporting.
Ensure all contractors complete site inductions, system onboarding, and required training.
Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.
What You’ll Need:
Diploma in Facilities Management preferred but not essential.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in corporate facilities management and/or hospitality.
HSE qualification preferred but not essential.
Project management experience would be advantageous.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Practical approach and sound judgement when resolving issues.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work weekends with limited support and supervision.
