Australian Engineering College (AEC) is seeking a versatile and reliable Accounts & Administration Officer to join our team. This role suits someone who is equally comfortable managing financial tasks — such as student fee processing and agent commission reconciliation — as they are handling general administrative duties that keep the College running smoothly day to day.
You'll be a key point of contact across both finance and admin functions, so strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to switch between tasks confidently are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts
- Process student fee payments and manage payment plans
- Reconcile agent commission claims and invoices (tuition fees only)
- Issue payment reminders and partial payment notices
- Maintain accurate financial and student account records
Administration
- Manage student enrolments and associated documentation
- Handle general correspondence, emails, and phone enquiries
- Support day-to-day office operations and administrative tasks
- Assist with compliance and record-keeping requirements
- Provide general support to staff, students, and agents as needed
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in accounts, finance, or office administration
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple functions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the VET or education sector highly regarded but not essential
- A proactive, adaptable, "can-do" approach to work
Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
