We're seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to a male participant based in Hamilton.
This role would suit an allied health or university student, someone with experience in mental health support, or an experienced support worker looking for additional casual work.
Our participant enjoys NRL, real estate and trading, so we're looking for someone who can build genuine rapport through shared interests while providing person-centred support.
Shifts Available
- Every Wednesday and Friday
- 4-hour shifts
- Additional fill-in shifts available
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in the community
- Encourage independence and assist with achieving individual goals
- Build a positive, professional relationship with the participant
- Support community access and meaningful activities
- Follow support plans and complete required documentation
- Administer medication if qualified
About You
- Friendly, patient and reliable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about supporting people to live independently
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges is highly regarded
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Essential Requirements
- Experience in mental health support preferred
- Medication Management Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Working rights in Australia
