Rostering Officer – Disability Services (DIS)

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Rostering Officer to support Brightwater’s Disability Services, including our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) sites. In this fast-paced role, you will coordinate staff rosters to ensure safe, consistent, and person-centred care for clients with complex needs.
This position is part of the Centralised Rostering Service, located at Brightwater Central in Inglewood and will provide rostering support to Residential Aged Care sites. Some shift work will be required, with a combination of shifts including 0700-1500, 0800-1600, 0900-1700, and 1100-1900. This position will have regular set fortnight working days (including Saturday shifts each week) with various shift times. There is occasional public holiday work required, which is paid with the appropriate loadings. There may be an opportunity for additional weekend work.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate, responsive staff rosters across disability services
- Ensure rosters align with client support needs, funding, and budgets
- Manage shift coverage, unplanned leave, and last-minute changes
- Work closely with Service Managers to meet operational staffing requirements
- Maintain accurate data for payroll and reporting
- Ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Respond to staff queries and provide timely rostering support
About you
You thrive in a dynamic environment and are confident managing competing priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
You will bring:
- Experience in rostering, scheduling, or workforce coordination
- Understanding of disability services or NDIS (highly regarded)
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Confidence using rostering systems and Microsoft Office
- A flexible, team-focused and customer-centric approach
