A Construction Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities on a construction site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Typical job responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily construction activities.
Supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and site staff.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Monitor project schedules and resolve site issues.
Inspect work quality and ensure it meets specifications.
Order and manage construction materials and equipment.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, consultants, and clients.
Keep accurate site records, reports, and progress updates.
Ensure projects stay within budget and meet deadlines.
Skills and qualifications
Experience in residential, commercial, or civil construction.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of Australian building codes and safety regulations.
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
Common qualifications include a Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction, with many employers also valuing trade backgrounds or construction management degrees.
Pay: $11,000.00 – $13,400.00 per month
