Position: Qualified Motor Mechanic
Location: Loom Townz Motor Service, Fyshwick ACT
About the Role
Loom Townz Motor Service is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our growing workshop. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical faults.
- Carry out repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and driveline components.
- Test vehicle batteries and perform battery replacements.
- Diagnose vehicle starting and charging system faults.
- Remove, replace, and repair vehicle tyres, including wheel balancing.
- Maintain accurate job records and inspection reports.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Experience in servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
