About the role:
Reporting to the Manager Mergers and Partnerships, this is a key role in supporting voluntary mergers of health systems, which are intended to improve the effectiveness of the health system and enable more streamlined access to care for patients.
The role will be involved in keeping key policy documents up to date and will be active in supporting health services through the preparation and assessment for mergers. The administrative, approval and legal steps are critical to be executed with high accuracy and within the required timeframes and this role will be key in each of these steps.

About you:
- Collaborating with colleagues in teams across the department, you will be involved in the project management, planning for communications and tracking benefits which flow from health system voluntary mergers.
- Negotiates with stakeholders and peers with the object of gaining co-operation and meeting timelines for delivery of project, service or advice.
Qualification:
A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, health economics/economics, social policy or health administration would be an advantage.
Technical expertise:
Knowledge and experience in government, health sector and/or health service delivery would be desirable, with skills and experience in policy development and implementation.
