We are seeking a motivated and proactive Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) Coordinator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career in a hands-on manufacturing environment while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Head of QHSE Systems, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our integrated Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Management System. You will work closely with production teams, supervisors and management to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and internationally recognised management standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and maintaining our integrated QHSE Management System.
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Investigating incidents, hazards and near misses and implementing corrective actions, along with supporting injury management and return-to-work activities.
- Maintaining Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), procedures, and risk registers.
- Supporting compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
- Monitoring QHSE performance and preparing reports for management.
- Promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the business.
- Supporting environmental related activities
To be successful, you will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental role within manufacturing, fabrication, engineering or a similar industry.
- A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or qualifications in Science, Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
- Experience working with ISO management systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP or QHSE software.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with employees at all levels.
