Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for retail and exceptional member experiences? World Gym is looking for a hands-on Retail & Reception Manager to take ownership of our retail outlets and front desk operations across our Coomera facility.

You will lead a team dedicated to delivering outstanding service, driving retail sales, and ensuring every member who walks through the doors has an experience they love.
Reporting to the Facility Manager and working closely with the Club Manager and Cluster Retail Manager, you will be a key driver of both member experience and on-site retail performance across supplement shops, smoothie bars, and apparel outlets.
We are looking for someone with:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven experience managing retail operations, ideally within fitness, hospitality, or fast-paced consumer sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to drive sales, manage budgets, and achieve profitability targets.
- Experienced leader with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems, stock management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, including an openness toward integrating AI tools and digital solutions into everyday workflows.
- Lead, roster, and develop the reception and front desk team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing feedback to ensure staff understand and consistently meet service standards.
- Manage performance, resolve day-to-day staffing issues, and support workforce planning in collaboration with the Club Manager and Facility Manager.
- Oversee day-to-day retail operations including supplement shop, smoothie bar, and clothing and apparel sales.
- Ensure stock availability, correct merchandising, and accurate point-of-sale processes at all times.
- Monitor retail performance, implement promotions, and upsell products to meet sales targets in conjunction with the Cluster Retail Manager.
- Assist with stock ordering, inventory management, and loss prevention.
- Manage all front desk operations including member enquiries, sales, and service touchpoints.
- Ensure reception staff provide accurate information on memberships, personal training services, and all club offerings.
- Resolve member enquiries and complaints promptly, escalating to the Club Manager or Facility Manager when required.
- Maintain reception area presentation and ensure all systems — POS, CRM, and membership platforms — are used correctly.
- Manage and coordinate the club's social media presence, ensuring timely posting, accurate content updates, and consistent brand representation across all platforms.
- Track and report on daily sales and stock movements.
- Support the Cluster Retail Manager with reporting requirements relating to retail and sales.
- Support the Club Manager and Facility Manager with reporting requirements relating to member services and reception.
- Ensure all transactions and financial processes comply with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company policies across retail and reception operations.
- Maintain staff certifications, training records, and awareness of safety protocols.
- Conduct regular checks on retail and reception spaces to uphold brand and compliance standards.
