BEVERAGE PREPARATION:
o Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based
drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages, following the café’s recipes and
presentation standards.
o Operate all coffee equipment with skill and precision, including espresso machines,
grinders, and brewers.
o Maintain consistency in the quality of beverages served, paying close attention
to details like taste, temperature, and presentation.
o Monitor the quality of ingredients and ensure that all beverages meet the café’s
standards before serving to customers.
o Stay updated on the latest coffee trends and brewing techniques to enhance the
café’s menu offerings.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
o Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and ensuring a positive and
friendly interaction.
o Provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers on the menu items,
including drink options and food pairings.
o Handle customer feedback and concerns in a professional manner, striving to
resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
o Create a welcoming atmosphere in the café that encourages customers to return.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES:
o Maintain a clean and organised workstation, including the counter, equipment,
and seating areas.
o Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring that food handling and
beverage preparation are performed according to regulations.
o Restock inventory and supplies as needed, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and
disposables, while keeping an eye on inventory levels.
o Assist in opening and closing duties, ensuring that the café is set up for the day
and secured at the end of shifts.
o Follow all cash handling procedures accurately when processing customer
transactions.
TEAMWORK:
o Work collaboratively with the café team, including other cafe all rounders, kitchen staff,
and front-of-house personnel, to ensure smooth operations.
o Support team members during busy periods by assisting with orders, running drinks,
or helping with other tasks as needed.
