Italiano’s Fresh Produce is looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Register Operator to join our family run business in the heart of Brunswick.
You’ll be one of the final faces our customers see, so we’re looking for someone who can deliver fast, accurate service with a genuine smile even when the shop is buzzing!
THE ROLE
- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Accurately scanning products and entering fresh produce codes
- Processing cash and electronic payments
- Carefully packing customers’ purchases
- Keeping the register area clean, tidy and well stocked
- Answering basic customer enquiries and directing customers when needed
- Helping with nearby displays and general store duties during quieter periods
- Following workplace safety and store procedures
ABOUT YOU
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with customers
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Accurate when handling payments and working with numbers
- Able to remain calm and efficient during busy periods
- A positive team player who is willing to help wherever needed
- Available to work 30 - 38 hours a week
- Previous register or retail experience is preferred but not essential, we’re happy to train the right person
