Join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT) and become part of a highly regarded multidisciplinary team known for its supportive culture, and commitment to helping people remain independent in their homes and communities.
Working alongside experienced Allied Health Professionals, you will be part of a team comprising Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and Allied Health Assistants.
About the role:
This is a rewarding opportunity for a Podiatrist seeking variety, autonomy and application of skills and knowledge in a community setting.
The position has a strong focus on the delivery of services under a High Risk Foot Model of Care, providing assessment and management for consumers with complex foot health needs, including:
- Diabetes-related foot complications
- Peripheral vascular disease
- Peripheral neuropathy
- Foot ulceration and wound management
Chronic and complex health conditions affecting foot health

You will work across clinic, outreach and home-based settings, delivering person-centred care that supports consumers to remain active, independent and engaged in their local communities. There is no nursing home work.
Key responsibilities:
As a Podiatrist within the RAHT, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assess and treat a range of foot and lower limb conditions, including high-risk foot presentations.
- Provide treatment, education and preventative care to support foot health and independence.
- Manage wounds, ulcers and other complex foot conditions.
- Perform nail surgery and prescribe orthoses where appropriate.
- Deliver services in clinic, outreach and home-based settings.
- Work collaboratively with clients, carers, families and other health professionals.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and coordinated service delivery.
- Support student learning and professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement and service development activities.
- Maintain high quality documentation and client data collection
About you:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Podiatrist who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
You will bring:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Podiatry) or equivalent qualification.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist.
- Knowledge and experience in the delivery of high-risk foot services within home and community-based settings.
- Knowledge of the service system and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community care
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with consumers, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Well-developed organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Commitment to person-centred, evidence-based care
