As a Sentence Management Assessor, you’ll play an important role in supporting fair, accurate, and timely prisoner assessments. Working closely with custodial staff and prisoners, you’ll help ensure key decisions are informed, compliant, and person-centred. Your work will directly contribute to safety, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes within the justice system. This position will commence in November 2026.
As a Sentence Management Assessor in the Sentence Management team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
conducting face-to-face interviews to assess prisoner risks and needs
preparing accurate security, placement, transfer, and parole reports
analysing information from multiple sources to inform sound decisions
applying legislation, policies, and procedures within required timeframes
collaborating with internal and external stakeholders professionally
maintaining confidential and accurate electronic records
You could be a great fit if you have:
experience in administration and report writing roles
confidence engaging respectfully in face-to-face interviews
strong written skills with attention to detail and accuracy
the ability to analyse information and make balanced recommendations
good time management skills in a compliance-focused environment
