About the Role
Velocity Truck Centres is seeking a proven operational leader to step into a key leadership role as Branch Manager at our brand-new Burpengary dealership, situated in the Moreton Bay region.
Leading an established team, with further growth planned, this role offers the opportunity to shape day-to-day operations, build team capability and set the standard from the ground up at a brand-new dealership.
You’ll suit this role if you are a hands-on leader who can balance operational discipline with people leadership, build accountability across teams, and create a safe, customer-focused environment while helping grow and establish a high-performing new site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage departments, ensuring strong day‑to‑day execution and long‑term operational sustainability.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, throughput, efficiency and profitability.
- Champion a safety‑first culture, ensuring compliance with all safety, HSE and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEM partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance, with clear accountability for cost control and margin improvement.
- Develop, coach and empower leaders and team members to drive capability uplift, engagement and retention.
- Ensure operational disciplines, systems and processes are consistently applied and continuously improved.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven leadership experience within service, parts or sales operations, ideally in the automotive, heavy vehicle or equipment sectors.
- Strong experience managing a P&L, with a track record of improving profitability through disciplined execution.
- Solid commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into practical action.
- A genuine commitment to safety, compliance and building a strong safety culture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a highly customer‑focused approach.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, sites and functions in a matrix organisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, dealer management systems and CRM platforms.
