About the role
We are seeking a reliable and motivated 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician or Electrical Trades Assistant to join our Sydney-based team. Small operation of 2x electricians so plenty of opportunity for learning and taking on new responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to continue your apprenticeship while gaining practical experience across residential, commercial and maintenance electrical projects. You will work alongside licensed electricians in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with electrical installations, repairs and maintenance
- Complete electrical rough-ins and fit-offs
- Install cables, conduits, cable trays, lighting and electrical equipment
- Assist with testing and fault-finding
- Read and follow electrical plans and specifications
- Maintain tools, equipment and clean work areas
- Complete required TAFE and apprenticeship training
- Follow all WHS requirements and site safety procedures
- Travel to job sites throughout Sydney as required
Essential requirements
Apprentices
- Currently completing a registered electrical apprenticeship and Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820)
- Currently in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of your apprenticeship
- Ability to provide a TAFE transcript or evidence of completed apprenticeship stages
Apprentices & Electrical Trades Assistant
- Current NSW White Card
- Current driver’s licence
- Previous residential, commercial or electrical maintenance experience
- Basic understanding of rough-ins, fit-offs, cable installation and conduit work
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and follow instructions
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and physically capable of completing site work
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid Australian working rights
Desirable
- Own basic electrical hand tools
- Working at Heights certification
- EWP ticket
- Experience working on commercial construction or maintenance projects
