About the Role
At MSS Security, we’re looking for a confident and capable Full Time Security Officer to become a trusted part of our Defence operations at a secured base in Singleton. This position plays a critical role in protecting Defence personnel, assets, and infrastructure through proactive patrols, access management, and a strong on-site presence.

This is a Monday to Friday split shift roster:

We’re looking for Security Officers who are calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and understand the importance of consistency in secure environments. This isn’t your average security post - working on a Defence site means operating to a higher standard, where your professionalism and discretion have a direct impact on national operations.
About You
Australian Citizenship – required for Defence Security Clearance eligibility
A current Security Licence valid in NSW
Baseline Defence Clearance or willingness to obtain a Baseline Clearance
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders
The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
A strong sense of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
Duties:
Access Control – Monitoring entry and exit points to ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site
Foot Patrols – Conducting regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats
Stakeholder Liaison – Building rapport with Defence personnel, contractors, and visitors while delivering a strong security presence
Incident Response – Reacting promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behaviour
Compliance Monitoring – Ensuring site protocols and Defence security procedures are always followed
Reporting & Documentation – Accurately recording incidents, shift activities, and observations in accordance with site requirements
