About the Role
As Produce Manager, you will lead the fresh produce department, ensuring customers enjoy a high-quality shopping experience every day. You will be responsible for department performance, stock management, merchandising, team leadership, and maintaining the highest standards of freshness and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Produce team
- Maintain outstanding fresh produce quality and presentation standards
- Manage ordering, stock control, and waste minimisation
- Deliver exceptional customer service and engagement
- Ensure department compliance with food safety and workplace standards
- Drive sales, profitability, and department performance
- Create appealing displays and seasonal merchandising initiatives
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused leader who:
- Has previous supermarket or retail management experience, ideally within fresh produce
- Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills
- Is passionate about fresh food and customer service
- Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment
- Takes pride in store presentation and operational excellence
- Has strong organisational and communication skills
- Is committed to building a positive and high-performing team culture
