This role within our Histology department is based at our Metro QML Pathology laboratory. About The Role
As a Histology Scientist, you will be responsible for producing accurate and reliable diagnostic results through the preparation and analysis of tissue samples, ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes.
Key responsibilities:

Perform histological techniques including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy and staining

Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of results

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in line with protocols

Adhere to quality assurance and accreditation standards (NATA, ISO)

Identify and troubleshoot issues to support effective laboratory operations
-
Contribute to continuous improvement and team-based outcomes
About You
Our ideal candidate is an experienced and detail-oriented Scientist with proven experience in histology. You take a professional and methodical approach to your work, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy, and enjoy contributing as part of a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
-
5+ years experience in Histology lab
-
2+ years experience in Immunohistochemistry.
