Oyster Cove Cocktail Bar is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our busy kitchen. The successful applicant will work closely with the Head Chef to prepare high-quality meals while maintaining exceptional food safety and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard
- Assist with menu planning and daily specials
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage stock rotation and minimise waste
- Assist with ordering and stock control
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where required
Essential Criteria
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Minimum two years' experience as a qualified chef
- Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
Desirable
- Experience with modern Australian cuisine
- Experience in a busy restaurant or cocktail bar environment
Pay: $73,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
