Responsibilities:
- Flange Inspection & Preparation – Verify flange conditions, alignment, and cleanliness before assembly or machining.
- Gasket Selection & Installation – Ensure proper gasket type, size, and placement to maintain joint integrity.
- Bolt Torque & Tensioning – Apply correct bolt tightening techniques using hydraulic tensioners or torque wrenches.
- Flange Refacing & Surface Finishing – Restore flange faces to required tolerances and surface finishes using portable machining tools.
- Leak Testing & Verification – Conduct hydrostatic, pneumatic, or helium leak testing after assembly.
- Set-up of Nitrogen Pump equipment, assisting with the rig-up and rig-down of pumps, and monitoring the insertion of nitrogen into systems.
- Performing routine maintenance and safety inspections of the nitrogen pump and other equipment, testing pump operation procedures, and logging your work on a daily basis.
- Preparation of daily operational logs, testing data, acceptance certificates, consumable reports.
- Oversee test preparation and testing with Client in accordance with approved procedures, all isolations to be signed by Company and Client personnel
- Ensure all near misses, incidents and/or accidents are promptly reported and communicated to prevent re-occurrence
- Dimensional Inspection & Measurement – Use precision tools to measure bolt tension, flatness, parallelism, and surface roughness.
- Engineering Drawing Interpretation – Read and follow technical specifications for flange machining and assembly.
- Bolt Hole Drilling & Re-Tapping – Repair or modify bolt holes as needed to ensure proper fitment.
- Safety Compliance & PPE Usage – Follow site safety protocols, confined space requirements, and proper tool handling procedures.
- Equipment Setup & Maintenance – Operate, calibrate, and maintain flange-facing machines, torque tools, and tensioners.
- Coordination with Other Teams – Work closely with welders, pipefitters, engineers, and maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Apprenticeship or Trade Certificate
- Experience working in offshore and LNG sites
- Relevant onshore & offshore site experience
- Understanding of processes & procedures
Pay: $65.00 – $68.00 per hour
