About the role
Roo’s Champs Pty Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and energetic coaches to join our growing team of 5 in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, working in Manly, Dee Why, Cromer, Beacon Hill, Warriewood, and Mona Vale. You'll deliver our fun, skill-building, soccer-based, sports classes for children aged 1–6. If you love playing sport, have a passion for coaching, and can inspire little champs, we want to hear from you. This is a casual position, providing flexibility, within a positive and friendly environment, with focus on teamwork and support for your professional development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging, age-appropriate soccer-based sports classes for children aged 1 to under 6 years
- Engaging with the children and their parents / grand-parents with enthusiasm and clear communication in every session, to provide encouragement and guidance, tailoring the exercises where needed to the skill levels of participants
- Representing Roo’s Champs with enthusiasm and professionalism, including explaining to parents / grand-parents the enrollment packages and their benefits
- Setting up sports equipment in the sports halls, in line with class plans, and packing down
- Creating a positive, safe, inclusive and fun environment for kids and parents / grand-parents, including adhering to all relevant policies, procedures and safety standards and completing training required
What we're looking for
- Passion for playing and competing in sports and enthusiasm for passing these skills on by coaching young children
- Existing coaching experience, preferably with young children
- Existing coaching qualifications preferred, or willingness to work towards this
- Willingness to learn and grow as a coach
- Interest in supporting Roo's Champs as we expand our services, such as classes for champs with disability, daycare classes and birthday parties
- Great communication, interpersonal skills and salesmanship, with the ability to motivate participants and to engage with parents / grand-parents about the program and enrollment options
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Own transport and willingness to travel around the Northern Beaches
- Availability on multiple weekdays in the morning (weekend shifts also available)
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check
- First Aid and CPR certification

Roo's Champs Pty Ltd provides soccer-based sports coaching classes in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Our classes are packed with fun exercises and games to train young children 1 to under 6 in the 12 core skills of sports. We use wide-ranging exercises and a variety of equipment from different sports, including soccer, basketball and tennis. We provide individualised coaching and a positive and supportive environment at our classes. Our friendly community of member families participate enthusiastically in our classes. Our coaches are highly motivated and energetic, passionate about sports and skilled in coaching young children.
