Reeds Prospecting currently have a position available with flexible hours for a Sales Team Member to assist with Sales, Dispatch and Training in our Midvale Store.

Reeds Prospecting is an industry leader in providing specialist Gold Prospecting and Metal Detecting equipment and knowledge. We provide expert training, knowledge and supply equipment to a broad range of customers, including hobby Metal Detecting enthusiasts, full time Gold Prospectors, through to Small Scale Mining operations. Our Midvale store is the hub of all Reeds Prospecting's activities that supports the exciting world of Gold Prospecting and Metal Detecting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Sales, in a retail environment or similar equivalent
- Preference given to candidates with experience in Gold Prospecting and Metal Detecting
- Demonstrated use of Retail POS / EFTPOS systems and cash handling
- Good interpersonal customer service skills
- Competent literacy levels in reading, writing and numeracy
Core Tasks & responsibilities
- Engage with customers on Gold Prospecting and Metal Detecting enquiries
- Provide product knowledge and demonstration to customers on equipment to service their outdoors lifestyle, such as Metal Detectors, GPS and PLBs, Gold Processing Equipment (gold panning, crushers, sluices, kilns)
- Process Sales and Hire of Metal Detectors and Equipment through POS
- Maintain the store presentation, stock levels, display and cleanliness
- Maintain and service the detector hire fleet
- Attend Expo's, Show's and Events to actively promote Reeds Prospecting, the industry and lifestyle of gold prospecting and metal detecting
- Must be available to work on Weekdays and Saturdays when rostered on.

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 38 per week
