The Role
The Senior Volunteer Coordinator – Victoria is responsible for the supporting the oversight and performance of the volunteer visiting programs across Victoria, ensuring alignment to MiCare’s strategic objectives, values, and compliance obligations.
This role supports and guides a team of Volunteer Coordinators and is accountable for:

Delivering a consistent, high-quality volunteer experience

Ensuring the volunteer workforce contributes meaningfully to resident and client wellbeing

Contribute to strong governance, safeguarding and compliance and reporting practices

Driving program growth, engagement and sustainability
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
-
Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Management or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Experience
Demonstrated experience in leading volunteer programs or community engagement services
Proven experience in people leadership and team management
Strong understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks
Experience working within aged care, community services or not-for-profit sectors
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple sites and competing priorities.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team in an operational environment.
Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Sound analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment
A preparedness to work to the 10 principles of the Eden Alternative philosophy.
Self-motivated with a flexible, caring and patient attitude.
