An exciting opportunity exists to join Perpetual Wealth Management’s Investment Research team as Manager, Capital Markets Research & Asset Allocation. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, this role is responsible for leading, managing and delivering PWM’s asset allocation framework and delivering capital markets research and asset allocation insights that directly inform portfolio construction, investment strategy, and portfolio positioning. You’ll undertake quantitative research on macroeconomic trends, capital market assumptions, and asset class behaviour, as well as apply advanced financial modelling to provide practical, investment‑ready guidance for portfolio managers, advisers, and senior stakeholders.
Capital Markets Research and Market Analysis
Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of capital markets assumptions, including asset class forecasts, risk premia and correlations, and scenario analysis across asset classes.
Strategic and Dynamic Asset Allocation Support
Assess the asset allocation impact of new opportunities, product changes, manager changes, or structural shifts in markets.
Portfolio Construction and Risk Collaboration
Governance, Controls and Quality Assurance
Stakeholder Management and Influence
We’re looking for someone with:
7 - 12+ years of experience in asset allocation and/or portfolio management, with extensive experience in asset allocation and multi-asset class investing, preferably within an institutional and/or wealth management setting.
