In this role, you'll:
Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant equipment as well as powered and non-powered hand tools.
Undertake road maintenance activities like pavement repairs, road corridor maintenance, road pavement rehabilitation, and small and heavy patching works.
Carry out manual road work safely and effectively in a team environment under supervision.
Help keep roads safe and reliable to support community access, travel, and safety outcomes.
Be flexible to work outside of normal working hours, attend call outs, and work away from home when required.
This is a permanent position with Hay as the base location.
We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100 km distance from the Hay depot.

About you
You are a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments such as labouring and general road maintenance/repair.
You’re recognised as safety focused, skilled at following instructions and enjoy being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.
You bring a willingness to learn road maintenance tasks to help deliver quality outcomes for the community.
You live within 100km to the Hay Works depot or will be willing to relocate.
You will also hold relevant tickets/licenses including:
White Card
Australian C class Driver’s License
Traffic Control tickets (Implement Traffic Control Plan, and Prepare Work Zone)
A higher-class Truck Licence is desirable (not essential)
