About us:
The Medical/Surgical Ward 1 Unit is located, Block one on the first floor of the Gladstone Hospital. The service offers a total of 38 inpatient beds which cover sub-acute, medical, surgical, rehabilitation and palliative care patients. The Medical/Surgical Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.
About the role:
Deliver high-quality nursing care across a diverse patient mix, including medical, surgical and sub-acute patients.
Build and advance your clinical capability, with motivation to continually develop from novice through to advanced practice.
Communicate confidently and effectively, building positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a supportive and respectful ward environment.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, while adapting to change and contributing to continuous improvement.
About you:
Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
Communicate and connect effectively with patients, families and a wide range of health professionals.
Build strong multidisciplinary relationships to support coordinated, patient-centred care.
Prioritise quality, safety and risk, recognising their importance in delivering safe healthcare.
Be proactive in patient care, confidently identifying and managing patients' needs within the ward while contributing to continuous improvement.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $10,707 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $44.27 - $56.79 p.h.
