Warehouse Trainee (AT2707)
Every project starts with the right tools, equipment and materials in the right place at the right time. As a Warehouse Trainee with Mackay Regional Council, you'll be part of the team that keeps everything moving. Gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, logistics and procurement while learning from industry professionals in a supportive team environment.
No two days are the same in this hands-on role. You'll gain real-world experience receiving and dispatching goods, managing inventory, coordinating deliveries and supporting customers, all while developing the skills needed for a career in warehousing, logistics and procurement.

Timeframe and Qualification:
This is a 24-month traineeship. During the traineeship, you will complete a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations while gaining practical experience within Council’s warehouse environment.
This traineeship is ideal for school leavers, people new to the industry or those seeking a career change. Eligibility criteria may apply if you hold existing qualifications in this area.

What you will need to succeed:
- Interested in working within a warehouse facility learning about stock management, logistics and delivery services in a large warehouse.
- An active planner and problem-solver.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- You're a team player, with the ability to learn from, and grow positive relationships with others.
- Physically fit and energetic and able to complete manual handling tasks.
- Successful completion of Year 10 is desirable but not required.
