About the role:
This is a dynamic, site-based role providing hands-on HSE support across projects including mid-rise residential and live operating healthcare environments.
You’ll enjoy real variety, with no two days or sites are the same, while playing a key role in supporting project teams deliver work safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture in line with our “Safey is My Way”
- Conduct site inspections, critical control verifications, safety walks and compliance checks.
- Support the implementation of project WHS management plans and company safety systems.
- Review and monitor risk management activities such as SWMS and permits.
- Assist with subcontractor onboarding, risk reviews, consultation and WHS performance monitoring.
- Identify hazards, assess risks and support effective corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and hazards, and support continuous improvement actions.
- Maintain accurate WHS records, reports, registers and system updates.
- Support compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, company procedures and client requirements.
- Assist with emergency preparedness, site inductions and worker consultation processes.
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors, workers and subcontractors on safe work practices.
Your Skills and Experience
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
- Proven experience in a similar HSE Advisor role within construction or building projects
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence behaviours and build relationships across site teams and subcontractors
- Practical, hands-on approach with sound judgement and the ability to make effective site-based decisions
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of HSE systems, legislation, and risk management processes (investigation experience desirable)
- Valid C-Class Driver’s Licence and White Card
- Trade background highly regarded.
